Location: West Argyll (MAKI and OLI)
Salary: £27,598 - £30,019 pro rata
Contract: 37hrs 1WTE
About us
The Learning Disability service provides a specialist multi-disciplinary service to Adults with a Learning Disability that require specialist health intervention that cannot be met by local mainstream services across all of Argyll and Bute.
The Specialist Health Team consists of a Professional Lead, Specialist Nurses, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language therapy, Consultant Psychology, and Medical Secretaries.
The Service has an open referral system and all referrals are discussed at a weekly allocation meeting
About the role
An opportunity has arisen for Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join the Adult Learning Disability Team to provide a service with the Nurses in our team.
The post holder can be based in Lochgilphead or Oban as will be covering these areas.
The role is crucial in terms of the smooth day to day running for the Nurse and you will support with their caseloads, working flexibly across all aspects of our service. You will work under the supervision of a registered Nurse Professional and use specialist assessment and develop skills with your own caseload supporting adults with a Learning Disability to maximize their health and well- being.
About you
You should be confident, have great communication skills and either previous experience at relevant Senior HCSW level: Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Rehab Nursing, or experience of working within an existing role as a Band 3 Assistant or Band 4 Assistant Practitioner. It is essential that you can drive, have good organisational and IT skills and an ability to prioritise a varied workload.
