Location:Position available across all SeeAbility regions (Oxfordshire, Bristol, Devon, Hampshire, Surrey and Kent)
Salary:£15.30 per hour + Benefits
Hours:Full Time (37.5 hours) or Part Time
Contract:2 -Year Fixed Term Contract

Job Summary
The Learning Disability and AutismTrainer is responsible for the delivery of key training initiatives across SeeAbility. A key responsibility is for the delivery of the Oliver McGowen Learning Disabilities and Autism training. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about enabling people we support to live their best lives through upskilling our support teams.
Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for delivery of training courses within your remit including the following: -
  • Work alongside co-trainers who have lived experience and support them to fully participate in the training, helping to build confidence and competence.
  • Review and evaluation of all training interventions within your remit to ensure they meet the learning objectives and needs of colleagues.
  • Identify training needs of colleagues in relation to providing excellent person-centred support and work with the people development team to address these needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours:
Essentials
  • Proven experience of working in the Social Care in a front line supervisory role.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of active support and person-centred approaches
  • Excellent and engaging presenter, with strong facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Work well as part of a training team and support your co-facilitators.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexibly and to drive to homes to provide training which will occasionally require overnight stays.
Desirables
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferable as there will be travel across the south of england.
  • Train the trainer qualification or experience (Training can be arranged).
  • Previous and demonstrable experience of delivering presentations/training.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Self-motivated and organised.
  • Ability to use initiative and work effectively both as an individual and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a flexible approach.
Ability to think on your feet and address questions and issues in sessions.
