We are looking for a confident Learning Disabilities Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at Glyn House. About The Role: We are currently recruiting for full-time working 42 hours a week (07:45 am till 08:00 pm, including alternative weekends), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Glyn House. The Service: Glyn House supports people with autism, learning disabilities and complex behavioural support needs. We provide specialist care and support which is tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and community integration. This service provides specialist care for those on their care pathway from childrens to adult services. It also supports young adults who require highly tailored interventions to address their individual needs effectively. Who We Care For: Adults (Male & Female) from the age of 18 years and beyond. Primary diagnosis of autism and learning disability Those who may present challenging behaviours and complex needs

  • Flexible approach to support work and shift patterns to facilitate a range of community activities (Required)
  • Supporting and Assisting Residents in their day-to-day lives
  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene whilst promoting independence
  • Attending local community events, networks and venues, including cinema, swimming baths, and local shops.
  • Promoting and Supporting residents with personal development and learning new life skills
  • Updating and recording resident records to help monitor health and well-being
  • Providing emotional and physical support
