Overview

I am actively seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers in Nelson. The service supports individuals with learning and mobility difficulties in areas such as personal care, medication administration, food preparation, and community access.

Role
  • Title: Adults Learning Disability Support Worker
  • Location: Nelson
  • Job Type: Temporary / temp to perm
  • Immediate starts available
  • Pay: £13.68 p/h (inclusive of holidays)
  • A full UK driving license is preferred, but not essential
  • Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
The role

You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty. You will be helping with their progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals.

  • At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
