Job summary

Turning Point Scotland’s South Ayrshire Learning Disabilities Service is seeking Support Practitioners to join our team in South Ayrshire. The role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities in the community and at home, across a 24/7 service.

A full UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. We offer permanent and casual contracts with flexible hours, including full time, part time and relief shifts.

Qualifications

  • Full UK, clean, manual driving licence.
  • Access to a vehicle.
  • IT skills are required for all vacancies.
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Support people to meet friends, go out for meals, and attend activities.
  • Help people participate in local communities and develop skills and relationships.
  • Provide at-home and community support as part of a 24/7 service.
  • Sleepover shifts may be required and paid at sleepover rate.

Salary: £25,879 - £26,843 (pro rata)

Turning Point Scotland’s South Ayrshire Learning Disabilities Service, is looking for Support Practitioners to join their team.

South Ayrshire is a very unique 24/7 Service, offering at home support and community supports to people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, on the autistic spectrum & mental health issues.

The life of a Support Practitioner at South Ayrshire:

No two weeks are the same. You could be supporting a someone to meet up with their friends, go out for a meal and attend activities. The hours are varied to meet the needs of each person and can include sleep over shifts (paid at a rate of £107.60 per sleepover!) . The people we support are encouraged to become active members of their community through accessing local resources, building on skills,maintainingand developing friendships, employment opportunities and working towards agreed outcomes.

We need you to have a Full UK, Clean, Manual Drivers Licence and access to a Vehicle.
