We are working with our client, a successful legal firm in central York, to recruit a Part-Time Learning & Development Trainer.

The Learning & Development Trainer role offers flexible working hours to fit your lifestyle, whether that means term-time working, early starts, or early finishes, and even working term-time only if you prefer. This part-time role is 3 days per week, based in York (travel to other office locations is required), giving you the space to balance your career and life while making a real impact.

What You'll Do As The Learning & Development Trainer

  • Develop and deliver innovative training across core and emerging legal areas, plus vital soft skills like communication, negotiation, and emotional intelligence.
  • Use diverse formats: workshops, e-learning, webinars, role plays, and reverse mentoring.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and HR to identify training gaps and future-proof skills like legal tech and AI literacy.
  • Design engaging induction programmes and ensure compliance with professional standards.
  • Mentor legal professionals at all levels and foster a culture of continuous learning and career growth.
  • Manage training administration, quality assurance, and evaluation to keep everything effective and impactful.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in legal training with strong knowledge of legal disciplines and adult learning principles is preferred, although we will consider individuals with general experience.
  • A confident facilitator with excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to champion innovative learning solutions.
  • Passionate about continuous professional development and supporting diverse legal talent.
  • Car owner/driver, as travel to other offices is required.
