Job description

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people from getting the support they need to live a life they value. We address poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol support, housing, and related services.

We operate nearly 200 services across England with almost 3,500 staff and volunteers supporting around 125,000 people annually.

As we integrate our systems and processes following the merger, some roles are still branded under 'Humankind'. Full integration of our recruitment systems is planned for next year.

About The Role

We are seeking a Service Manager for our Liaison and Diversion Service, covering Durham and Cleveland Constabulary areas. The service collaborates with mental and physical health practitioners and other partners to act as a referral point and provide assertive follow-up for vulnerable men, women, and young people identified at arrest.

This includes considerations of physical and mental health, substance use, and homelessness. The goal is to support individuals to engage with community and support agencies, reducing their contact with the criminal justice system.

The role also includes responsibilities for the Cleveland Dependency and Recovery, and Durham Footsteps services, which support people on Probation. You will oversee these community Criminal Justice Services, manage staff, and develop high-quality support services.
