Learning and Development Manager

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 0830 - 1630

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

This is a hybrid role allowing a mix of home and site-based working. We have manufacturing sites across the UK including Heckington Lincolnshire, Bromborough Wirral, Fakenham Norfolk, and Sherburn in Elmet Leeds. If you are based near these locations and enjoy travel to visit your team and stakeholders, this could be ideal for you.

The role reports directly to the HR Director, providing a close connection with the board of directors and site leadership teams. It’s a great opportunity to work directly with decision-makers.

This role offers a chance for a driven and ambitious L&D professional to lead our current and future L&D initiatives and manage a team of 5 training coordinators.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinating and delivering our annual Leadership Development Programme across sites.
  2. Establishing talent mapping and succession planning processes.
  3. Supporting training coordinators to ensure compliance and effective training delivery and tracking.
  4. Designing and delivering engaging training sessions, workshops, and eLearning content using tools like Articulate.
  5. Supporting the performance development review (PDR) process and talent development.
  6. Shaping and delivering graduate and apprenticeship programmes.
  7. Collaborating with managers to identify team development needs and create tailored learning solutions.
  8. Supporting factory training programmes and competency frameworks.
  9. Managing the Learning Management System (Papaya LMS), ensuring accurate records and reporting.
  10. Working with stakeholders to establish training budgets and support the use of the apprenticeship levy.
