Job summary

The Francis Crick Institute is seeking a proactive Learning & Development Coordinator to support leadership learning, talent and performance activities across the institute. You will coordinate learning programmes, manage logistics, and help deliver a high-quality development experience for colleagues.

You will work with the LLC and People teams, ensure accurate data in our systems, prepare resources for delivery, and assist with communications and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing administration, coordination or customer service support in a busy operational environment.
  • Experience using databases, HR systems or learning management systems (ideally Workday).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem solving and maintaining accurate records and data.
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing a high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate learning activities and manage programme logistics to ensure smooth delivery.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiasticLearning & Development Coordinatorto join our Leadership, Learning & Culture (LLC) team and play a key role in supporting our learning, leadership development, talent and performance activities across the institute.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll work closely with colleagues across the LLC team, the wider People team and Communication team, helping to bring development programmes and initiatives to life. From coordinating learning activities and managing programme logistics to preparing resources, supporting communications and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll be at the heart of delivering a positive learning and development experience for colleagues across the institute.

You’ll also play an important role in supporting our talent and performance processes, maintaining accurate learning and talent data, and ensuring our systems and records are up to date and well managed. You’ll use our Workday system to support the administration of learning activities, produce reports and information, help monitor budgets and work with both internal colleagues and external partners to ensure programmes are delivered effectively.

What you will be doing
Some of your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Effective administration to support an annual calendar oftraining, induction, talent and performance managementand career development activity that is fit for purpose and value for money
  • Liaising withinternal andexternal training providers
  • Assistingwith internal promotion of all learning and development activities
  • Designingandmaintainingeffective, tailored training, induction,and career development materials
  • Assistingwith thepreparation fordelivery ofhigh-quality training,workshops, and materialsto groups and individuals(for classroom and online)
  • Assistingwith thepreparation fordelivery ofeffective talent and performance management initiatives for individuals and teams
  • Keepingaccuraterecords to measureimpact and effectiveness of trainingand talent initiatives
