Job Description

We are recruiting for a L&D Consultant to facilitate people development through identification, provision and delivery of a range of product, technical and skills-based training programs to PRT Client Services staff, in order to ensure that the customer, business and regulatory requirements of the department are satisfied.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Defining, developing and delivering a strategy that enables the business to maintain access to suitable trained and competent staff, and is aligned to PRT Client Services strategy and vision.
  2. Through liaison across the department, identifying requirements and working with Divisional and Group L&D functions to ensure appropriate training material is produced, arranged and delivered to a schedule, gaining approval and sign off from the Management Team, including delivery of skills, product and technical application across the department, ensuring alignment to L&G Group policies.
  3. Delivering an appropriate range of training solutions to individuals or groups, including Defined Benefit Pensions training and continuous professional development for all Client Services staff, such as managing projects, coaching, feedback, customer experience, management development, vulnerable customer and regulatory training.
  4. Ensuring that the business has awareness of and is actively engaged in all Group and Divisional training opportunities, as appropriate, and that the business voice is represented at Divisional level to ensure the key strategic offering meets the business requirements.
  5. Ensuring that all knowledge is embedded into standard practice and process for all individuals by liaising with and supporting the management team and Subject Matter Experts to ensure suitable support networks are in place during and after training delivery.
  6. Documenting all team and individual records in the agreed format for internal regulatory standards of the Conduct of Business Sourcebook (COBS) and Training and Competence (T+C) guidelines and producing information on quality and training results for publication within the department to ensure visibility of training available and completed.
  7. Supporting all ‘In Team’ Business trainers in their preparation, delivery and monitoring of successful intra and inter team training to ensure that all team members develop in line with expectation.
  8. Designing and implementing appropriate training regimes that give sufficient emphasis to the need for customers to understand that fair treatment and delivering good outcomes to them is central to the corporate culture.
Qualifications

We are looking for someone with previous exposure to training and development on teams, the team covers customer services & complaints.

  • CIPD Learning & Development qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Understanding of defined benefit pension schemes and the way benefits are structured and administered in Defined Benefit schemes is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the following legislation and remains compliant: GDPR, Financial Crime, Complaints, Consumer Duty, Breach guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of the risks to the business and actively takes steps to reduce these risks.
  • Highly customer focused and understands the need to maintain and improve relationships with both internal and external customers, including policyholders, scheme members, legislative bodies, third parties, and colleagues within the whole of L&G.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage tight timescales, prioritise own work or escalate if necessary.
  • Understanding and application of: Training Needs Analysis, Design, Delivery, Evaluation.
  • Experience in producing MI for Training & Quality purposes.
  • Basic user experience in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and Training database/TNA.
