The Learning Designer role will make a significant contribution to the development of online and blended learning for WMG’s Skills Centre.

The Skills Centre is pivotal in workforce development and industry-aligned upskilling programs. ensuring WMG's broader goals drive innovation in delivering cutting-edge training and education courses across a wide range of disciplines, to customers across industry.

This is a fast paced and exciting area working in partnership with Industry to create innovative workforce development courses.

The Learning Designer will work with a range of WMG Skills Centre staff including Project Managers, Academic teaching colleagues, Marketing and Operations colleagues.

About You

You will have experience of providing technical expertise, specialist advice and guidance and you will be experienced in designing, developing, testing and refining high quality digital learning resources, activities, and programmes.

You will be comfortable working with academic teaching colleagues to develop design specifications and create high quality digital learning materials and resources. You will be experienced working within a team to meet required specifications, ensuring that content developed is accessible and provides a high-quality inclusive education experience.

Currently in the WMG Skills Centre we use Moodle as our VLE, Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro and Audition) for content creation.

The Learning Designer will work in close collaboration with WMG’s Technology Enhanced Learning team (TEL) Education Innovation Group (EIG)
