Learning Designer

6 month contract, day rate, full time

Our client is a leading education institution which specialises in online, distance, and flexible learning programmes on a broad range of subject areas. They maintain a strong emphasis on innovation, inclusivity, and real-world impact, and work to combine academic excellence with cutting-edge digital delivery, enabling learners across the UK and internationally to achieve their goals. They are now looking for two Learning Designers to join their digital/distance learning teams and work on a range of new courses programmes over the next 6 months.

The Learning Designers will be joining a centralised team responsible for transforming academic content into engaging, accessible online learning. You'll take material provided by subject matter experts and academic teams and build it out into high-quality modules using Articulate Rise, ensuring all content meets the latest European Accessibility standards. Working across a range of faculties, you'll collaborate closely with academics - so confidence in offering creative input, suggesting improvements, and shaping content for the best learner experience is key. This is a dynamic role that offers variety, collaboration, and the chance to make a real impact on the student journey.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience developing content with Articulate Rise
  • Worked in the Higher Education sector
  • Can work effectively at speed
  • A sound understanding of the latest Accessibility guidelines
  • A wealth of experience working as a Learning Designer and eLearning Developer
  • Prior use of Articulate Storyline (nice to have)
  • Experience working with video editing software (nice to have)
  • Basic usage of the Adobe Creative Suite (nice to have)
  • Moodle experience (nice to have)
