The NHS seeks a Learning Design and Development Specialist to enhance learning experiences in clinical and non-clinical settings. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts and developing modular programs, particularly in women's health. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in educational design and a commitment to improving healthcare training outcomes.
The Learning Design & Development Specialistwill play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering high-qualitylearning experiences across both clinical and non-clinical domains. Thisincludes digital and blended learning, curriculum development, trainingfacilitation, and contributing to consultancy projects. You will work closelywith clinical and non-clinical subject matter experts (SMEs), internalstakeholders, and commercial partners to create engaging, modular, andCPD-aligned content that supports Academicares strategic goals. Your primaryfocus will be to design modular programmes in womens health in collaborationwith subject matter experts, transforming vision into impactful learningexperiences. Youll also develop a suite of leadership, management, andconsultancy programmes, both modular and standalone, while contributing tocoaching and consultancy delivery.
You must work at all times within your owncompetence and use your own judgement, knowledge and common sense in your day-to-dayactivities.
Design and develop modular and standalonelearning experiences across clinical (e.g. womens health) andnon-clinical (e.g. leadership, coaching, consultancy) domains.
Collaborate with subject matter expertsto translate complex content into engaging, learner-centred experiences.
Apply adult learning theory, behaviouralscience, and inclusive design principles to ensure high-impact learning.
Author content directly into learningplatforms (we use Rise 360), ensuring pedagogical quality and regulatorycompliance.
Scope and structure modular learningpathways aligned with CPD requirements and commercial strategy.
Contribute to the development ofscalable, flexible curricula that support lifelong learning andprofessional development.
Maintain consistency and quality acrossall learning products.
Deliver engaging virtual and in-persontraining sessions, workshops, and webinars.
Develop supporting materials for blendedlearning, including facilitator guides and learner resources.
Gather and respond to learner feedback tocontinuously improve delivery and outcomes.
Support consultancy and coaching projectsby applying learning expertise in client-facing contexts.
Collaborate with the commercial lead toalign learning products with market needs and strategic goals.
Contribute to the creation of passiveincome products, such as on-demand modules, digital libraries, andscalable learning resources.
