Learning Data Analyst

12 - 18 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity

Starting: ASAP

Remote based, ideally onsite once a month in Gloucester

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 plus benefits

Instinct are working with a highly reputable client within the Engineering sector who are looking for an experienced Learning Data Analyst to join their small team on a fixed term contract basis.

The Role

This position will involve working with their Cornerstone Learning Management platform as well as Power BI to analyse, review and monitor the learning data.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Excellence, Group Talent, Human Resources, and IT, to identify data requirements and develop learning analytics strategies aligned with our strategic initiatives.
  • Design and implement data collection methods, including surveys, assessments, and other evaluation tools, to gather relevant learning data.
  • Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyse learning data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and provide actionable insights to improve learning programme effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualise and communicate key learning metrics, such as learner engagement, completion rates, and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for learning initiatives and monitor progress against goals.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and predictive modelling to identify factors that influence learning outcomes and recommend targeted interventions.
  • Provide recommendations for improving learning content, delivery methods, and learner support based on data analysis findings.
  • Conduct Return on Investment (ROI) analysis to measure the effectiveness of various learning initiatives against the costs, identifying areas of success and areas that require improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning analytics and data analysis techniques.
  • Serve as the technical lead for the Academy's learning systems, ensuring the effective provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of Cornerstone and to meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and user experience.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the Learning Technologist, supporting their work on operational tasks such as uploading content, creating curriculums, assigning learners, and managing the day-to-day administration of our learning platforms (Cornerstone).
  • Design and develop technical solutions to support learning programmes, particularly for sales teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering impactful learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with Group Talent, HR, and local Op Co teams on projects that leverage learning systems to drive employee development and performance improvement.
  • Partner with third-party LMS administration support to raise, track, and manage tickets related to system projects and enhancements, ensuring effective coordination and timely delivery by overseeing their workstream and aligning it with internal priorities and standards.
  • Continuously explore opportunities to enhance the learner experience, identifying and implementing new features, tools, and functionality while maintaining oversight of the quality of delivered products and services.
The Person

The successful candidate will:

  • Have extensive experience within analysis of learning data.
  • Be a confident user of the Cornerstone Learning Management System and able to run reports and gather relevant information as needed ready for analysis.
  • You will have solid experience with Power BI.
  • Confident in creating dashboards and optimising platforms to run analysis.
  • Have worked within a busy learning environment.
