Job summary

Easton College is seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor to join our team. The role involves supervising students during timetabled sessions in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring a positive, safe and productive learning environment.

You will support learners with activities, encourage independent study and help them develop study skills and confidence, contributing to high-quality learner experiences and overall learner success.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (or willing to achieve within 12 months with College support).
• Experience supporting students or young people in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and maintain a safe, productive learning environment.
• Support individual students and groups with materials provided by staff.
• Encourage learner engagement and independent study.
• Help students understand tasks and develop effective study approaches.
• Provide targeted support and intervention where required.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to support course delivery.
• Assist with learning resources and departmental administration.
• Support examination invigilation when required.
• Maintain records and contribute to ILPs.
