Job description

Barclays is seeking a talented Learning Content Developer to build innovative, multi-format learning solutions that align with our quality standards—upholding our brand and accessibility principles. This role also provides critical administrative support for deployment, maintenance, and stakeholder interactions within our Learning Design function.

Key accountabilities include:
  1. Consultancy Diagnostics
    • Support Development Leads in scoping business requirements for Learning projects.
    • Produce proposals and documentation for individual learning solutions.
    • Manage and plan own time in line with DL/Designer project plans.
  2. Design Build
    • Design new learning solutions or maintain existing solutions.
    • Administer activities required for assignment of Learning solutions onto the LMS.
    • Design learning solutions within the Learning design framework in line with internal standards.
    • Support DLs/Designers in managing external suppliers.
    • Maintain project plans for new solutions or programmes.
    • Adhere to HR/Group policies, D&I, governance, and internal controls.
  3. Measure, Evaluate & Improve
    • Ensure the quality of learning design meets customer requirements.
    • Review evaluation MI and work with Leads for continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience:
  • Experience in learning solutions design.
  • Understanding of instructional design, learning theories, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Industry.
  • Experience delivering full training cycles from needs analysis to evaluation.
  • Project Management experience.
Valued skills include:
  • Experience with Digital authoring tools (e.g., Storyline, Infographics, Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Advanced instructional design concepts.
  • Stakeholder management/consultancy experience.
  • Experience in HR Learning roles.
  • Vendor management skills.
  • Understanding of company Brand standards and Barclays accessibility standards.

To design and implement programmes that support employee and leader growth and development.

  • Developing and implementing training and development programmes.
  • Collaborating with HR and hiring managers on development needs.
  • Designing and delivering training content and programmes.
  • Managing onboarding programmes.
  • Analyzing data to measure programme success.
  • Developing coaching, mentoring, and train-the-trainer programmes.
  • Managing talent pipelining processes.
