Overview

Are you an experienced Learning Coach looking for new opportunities in Birmingham?

Winner Education are seeking a Learning Coach to work in a special school based in the Central Birmingham area. This role will start immediately on a long-term placement and will be part time, 4 days a week. The successful applicant will have previous SEN experience, in particular with SEMH needs, challenging behaviours and communication difficulties, speaking a foreign language is desirable (particularly Romanian).

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with severe SEN requirements
  • Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation
  • Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
  • Assist with pupil progress reports
  • Liaise with outside agencies when required
  • Support the class teacher with pupil assessments
Requirements
  • Previous SEN experience
  • Previous experience working with KS4/5 SEN children
  • Strong resilience and patience
  • Speak a foreign language is desirable (in particular Romanian)
  • Previous experience working with children with EAL and SEMH needs
  • Used various communication methods
