Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cafe Manager to join the Community Hubs Team at Alnwick Community Hub.

Position Details:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Fixed term until 31/03/2026

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for directing a team of Community Hub Support Assistants, apprentices, and learners to provide a professional, customer-oriented Cafe, Event, and Bar service. This includes preparing and serving food and drinks, operating a traditional barista-style coffee machine, supporting events such as buffets and meals, bar service, managing cash controls including banking, ordering, and stock taking, and maintaining cleanliness.

The Learning Cafe Manager will also support weddings, special events, and corporate hospitality within the community hub.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in a catering environment
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety principles
