Job Description:

Do you want to play a key role in helping young people achieve their potential by guiding them through behavioural and emotional challenges?

An inclusive alternative provision in Hull is seeking a Learning & Behaviour Support Coach to join their team from September 2025. In this role, you'll support students who need extra help managing their behaviour and emotions, ensuring they can fully participate in their education and build confidence for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, focusing on social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SEN team to create effective support plans
  • Encourage positive decision-making, resilience, and improved social skills
  • Use calm and supportive approaches to de-escalate challenging situations
  • Record and monitor progress, feeding into individual learning and behaviour strategies

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people who have behavioural or SEMH needs (education, care, or youth work experience welcomed)
  • A patient, understanding, and empathetic nature
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to apply positive behaviour management techniques
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and student wellbeing
