Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd is recruiting a Learning & Behaviour Mentor for a specialist school in the Blackpool area on a long‑term, full‑time basis, starting September 2026. The role focuses on supporting pupils with behaviour, emotions and learning engagement.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, collaborating with teaching and pastoral staff to promote positive relationships, emotional regulation and re-engagement with education.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in mentoring, pastoral or behavioural support.
  • Proven experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or additional needs.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and relationship-based approaches.
  • Two education or school-based references.

About the role:

Justteachers are recruiting for a Learning & Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant specialist school in the Blackpool area on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

The school provides a supportive, nurturing and structured environment, working closely with pupils who need additional help managing behaviour, emotions and engagement with learning. The focus is on building positive relationships, emotional regulation and re‑engaging pupils with their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small‑group mentoring to support learning and positive behaviour
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, self‑esteem and classroom engagement
