Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with complex needs and assist pupils to understand instructions.
  • Assist in implementing individual learning.
  • Support children during social activities and outings.
  • Encourage communication and look after their physical/personal needs.
  • Work with the teacher and SEN team to create a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and provide learning materials.

Requirementsof an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Be patient and understanding.
  • Be adaptable in any give situation.
  • Develop strong and positive relationships with children.
  • Committed to working as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
