Dynamic Earth is an educational charity on a mission to empower people with understanding and empathy for the Earth. Our Learning and Engagement Service creates, curates, and delivers a diverse programme of events and experiences throughout the year which support the delivery of Dynamic Earth’s strategic plan and charitable purpose. As part of our learning and engagement team, you will work with a broad range of audiences to create, co-ordinate, and deliver a wide variety of informal science learning events and experiences which deliver our charitable mission, vision, and purpose. You will work across a breadth of Earth and environmental science and sustainability topics and different forms of interpretation to deliver impactful experiences which support our strategic plan and national priorities. This will involve working effectively as part of the science learning and engagement team – and with colleagues across the charity - on shared activity, as well as individually on defined projects and activity areas.
Role Purpose:
To develop, co-ordinate and deliver learning and engagement events and experiences with a wide range of audiences – both locally and nationally – which deliver organisational and national priorities in an impactful way.

We are recruiting for an organised and experienced events professional to join our small team delivering online and in-person events to our GP members across Scotland.
We are looking for someone with exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude. You will have previous experience of end-to-end events administration including booking venues, securing speakers, promotion and marketing, and working within a budget. You will be a confident self-starter, able to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative. This is a fast-paced role with regular competing demands, so the ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise your workload is essential.
The role will report into the Membership & Events Manager and will be part of the wider Member Engagement team within RCGP Scotland. The team is responsible for member engagement and education and works closely with our GP members at a local and national level across Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to support the needs of our members, delivering a robust and varied calendar of engagement, learning, and celebration activities each year, contributing positively to our members feeling supported and fulfilled throughout their career.
This role is 28 hours per week and will involve hybrid working with a minimum of two working days in the Edinburgh office in the city centre. We offer flexible working hours Monday to Friday.

Home-Start Edinburgh is a volunteer-led charity with over 35 years of experience working in local communities, supporting families with a child under 5 in the home. We are currently recruiting for the role of Family Support Co-ordinator. Whilst our Head Office is in Leith, the successful applicant will be required to support volunteers and families in one of Edinburgh’s four localities.
This role will be tasked to support families, predominantly through the network of volunteers they recruit, support, and train. They will also be expected to contribute to the wider operation and further development of the scheme.
The post-holder will work with the other Family Support Co-ordinators, as well as other staff, to ensure families receive holistic, high-quality support. They will contribute to the ongoing training and development of volunteers, including delivery of the Volunteer Prep course, as well as networking with other local organisations.
