Job summary

Reed in Tipton is seeking a Performance & Development Coordinator to help embed and monitor performance development processes, ensuring managers and staff stay engaged with appraisals, probation reviews, objectives and regular 1:1 discussions.

The role focuses on accountability, tracking compliance and supporting managers to develop their teams, rather than traditional training delivery. It is an initial 3-month contract with potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

  • Experience in HR, Learning & Development, Talent, People Operations or similar.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Confident working with data, trackers and reporting tools.
  • Able to influence managers to ensure processes are followed.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

  • Track completion of employee appraisals and follow up where required.
  • Monitor probation review activity and support managers with processes.
  • Track regular 1:1 meetings and performance discussions.
  • Produce reports on compliance with performance management processes.
  • Assist managers in setting effective objectives for probationary employees.
  • Maintain performance and development trackers with up-to-date records.
  • Identify where additional coaching or training is needed.

Performance & Development Coordinator

Location: Tipton
Contract: Initial 3-Month Temporary Contract (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: Competitive

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and proactive HR or L&D professional to join a growing business on an initial 3-month contract. This role has the potential to become permanent for the right person.

Working closely with managers across the business, you will play a key role in embedding and monitoring the company's performance development processes, ensuring managers and employees remain engaged with appraisals, probation reviews, objectives and regular 1:1 discussions. This role is less focused on traditional training delivery and more focused on driving accountability, tracking compliance and supporting managers to develop their teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track completion of employee appraisals across the business and follow up where required.
  • Monitor probation review activity, ensuring managers are following the correct process and supporting them where needed.
  • Track regular 1:1 meetings and performance discussions.
  • Produce reports highlighting compliance and non-compliance with performance management processes.
  • Support managers in setting effective objectives for employees successfully completing probation.
  • Maintain performance and development trackers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Identify areas where additional support, coaching or training may be required.
  • Build strong relationships with managers to encourage engagement with performance development activities.
About You
  • Previous experience within HR, Learning & Development, Talent, People Operations or a similar role.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident working with data, trackers and reporting tools.
  • Comfortable challenging and influencing managers to ensure processes are followed.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
