  • Experience of delivering training and coaching to groups and individuals.
  • Demonstrable understanding of upskilling apprenticeships.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing L&D programmes.
  • Strong understanding of learning strategies, programme design and evaluation methods.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage budgets.
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Financially astute.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Full UK driving license.

To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Learning & Development Manager to join our team at Ibstock Head Office, LE67 6HS.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the implementation of the Ibstock L&D strategy, the L&D Manager will create and execute learning strategies aligned to the organisation's needs. You'll support and empower colleagues across the business by designing and delivering engaging development initiatives that support performance, personal growth, and long-term success.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of engaging, accessible training content across multiple formats (e-learning, webinars, workshops, toolkits) to support the development of soft skills and leadership skills within the organisation
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of L&D interventions, defining the impact on the business
  • Support in the management of external supplier relationships
  • Source and monitor training providers for upskilling Apprenticeships, working with employees and line managers to identify appropriate programmes
  • Ownership of LMS - evolving the Learning Management System, ensuring content is current, relevant, and widely adopted
  • Own development and succession planning processes across the organisation
  • Implement a framework to identify critical roles and develop succession strategies to ensure talent readiness
  • Responsible for annual L&D Budget
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to identify critical learning needs and future requirements
  • Manage L&D Co-ordinator, providing leadership and direction to support their development
