Overview

To partner with the Senior Vice President of HR, regional presidents, and key business stakeholders to deliver the global learning and development strategy for Jimmy Choo. This role will lead the retail excellence and corporate development agenda, ensuring the delivery of impactful training and capability programmes through a blended learning approach. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, with a focus on enhancing sales team productivity, driving consistent client experience, strengthening employee retention, and increasing engagement across regions.

Responsibilities
  • LINE MANAGEMENT: Of the Learning and Development department, including the Regional L&D Managers (APAC, NA, EMEAI, JAPAN) and the global L&D coordinator.
  • EXECUTE THE GLOBAL L&D STRATEGY: In partnership with the Senior VP HR and global leaders, execute and deliver the FY25/FY26 global L&D strategy, including digital learning initiatives, client experience, employee engagement, and corporate training programmes.
  • L&D NEEDS ANALYSIS: Partner with regional stakeholders to gather global training requirements. Manage and evolve programmes in line with changing business objectives and growth strategies. Adopt a train-the-trainer approach to maximise impact.
  • DIGITAL LEARNING: Oversee the evolution and upkeep of the newly launched LMS, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned to business priorities. Focuses include personal development, retail excellence, and product knowledge modules. Drive adoption and leverage data insights to continue to improve learning impact.
  • STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: Act as a strategic partner to global and regional leadership teams, championing learning initiatives that drive commercial performance and people impact. Build the global learning community with a win-win approach.
  • RETAIL EXCELLENCE/PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Drive the evolution of the JC Experience 2.0, following the recent launch of the brand book and mission statement. Including digitalising and modernising the existing hosting framework and tools, aligning with CRM/ clienteling strategies and cross-functional partnerships. Maintain the product knowledge and content creation process.
  • LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT: In partnership with the SVP People, lead the design and delivery of leadership and personal development strategy, including the Director + pilot and business partnering programme, as well as evolving the JC Corporate training agenda. Partner with the Capri L&D department to align and share initiatives.
  • PEOPLE AND CULTURE: Working closely with the People and Internal Communication Team to align learning initiatives to the wider talent and culture strategy. E.g. JC Conversation webinar series, brand book adoption, global onboarding, talent programmes and special projects.
  • MEASUREMENT AND IMPACT: Define success measures, track impact via the monthly L&D Scorecard and report on global KPIs related to training impact and effectiveness. Leveraging LMS data to evolve reporting insights and future training strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Graduate calibre individual
  • Advanced-level Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office
  • Must be fluent in English and a further language would be an advantage
  • Significant experience in learning and development and/or retail excellence within global luxury, retail or premium brands.
  • People Management experience
  • Experience within global environments and capable of sensing regional needs and cultural differences
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a sense of detail, using a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to present information and ideas clearly, in both formal and informal situations
