Job Description:

We're looking for a proactive Learning & Development Advisor to join our Construction team. You'll play a key role in driving our technical training and core skills agenda, supporting the rollout and evolution of our Construction Training Matrix. This role involves identifying and developing impactful training solutions, managing our preferred supplier list, and analysing training data to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Location: Flexible on location - hybrid working available, with travel to offices and sites as required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Optimise the Learning Management System (LMS) to generate regular training reports and insights.
  • Analyse training data to identify trends and make strategic recommendations.
  • Forecast future training needs based on data insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure cost-effective, high-quality training delivery.
  • Ensure training compliance with internal procedures, minimum standards, and external legislation.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with external training providers.
  • Oversee and maintain the Kier Construction Preferred Suppliers list.
  • Support the development of new training solutions to enhance the overall training offering.

  • Experience of working in a Learning and Development role.
  • Relevant software experience such as PowerBi and Articulate 360.
  • The ability to interrogate data and present reports that provide valuable insights.
  • Experience of developing and managing training matrices.
  • Collaborative with experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction training and external awarding organisations and professional bodies linked to the industry.
