HLTA / Learning Advisor

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) OR Learning Advisorlooking for an exciting opportunity in a modern Milton Keynes school, with exceptional behaviour standards?! Simply Education is working closely with the school, who are looking to appoint a HLTA to work across both their secondary and primary school. This permanent position is due to ASAP.

This is a diverse role! Take a look at just some of the duties that will be required of you:

Supervision: Oversee students during activities, ensuring their safety and adherence to school rules.

Planning and Preparation: Help prepare resources and materials for lessons, under the guidance of teachers.

Assessment: Assist in assessing students' progress, both informally and formally, and provide feedback to teachers.

Behaviour Management: Help maintain discipline and manage challenging behaviour, implementing strategies outlined by teachers.

Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support: Provide additional support to students with SEN, implementing tailored strategies as directed by teachers or SEN coordinators.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and other staff members to support the overall functioning of the school and the welfare of students.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably in a teaching assistant or similar role, demonstrating understanding of educational practices.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents. Good organisational abilities to assist in planning and preparation tasks.

Familiarity with educational frameworks and practices, including behaviour management techniques and assessment methods.

Required to undergo background checks, including an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, to ensure suitability for working with children.
