Through proactive community and stakeholder engagement, you will champion the values of Acorn Training and the adult learning services we offer, inspiring individuals to enrol in our programmes. As a pivotal figure in promoting active participation and enriching the learning journey of adult learners, your responsibility lies in creating a nurturing educational environment. You will enhance learner referrals and enrolments for our adult learning programmes by forging robust partnerships with external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to compliance standards, and providing essential management insights regarding referral generation.

Key Responsibilities and Key Performance Indicators
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with external stakeholders, community organisations, and networks to support adult learning programmes.
  • Identify and promote suitable Adult Learning programmes and SWAPs to learners and sources that refer learners.
  • Conduct effective information, advice, and guidance sessions to inform potential learners about available opportunities.
  • Engage proactively with potential learners, employers, and community groups, providing accurate information about adult learning programmes.
  • Manage and maintain detailed learner referral information, facilitating communication with tutors, the Skills Performance Manager, and Heads of Curriculum.
  • Respond promptly to referral inquiries, offering necessary assistance.
  • Conduct assessments of individual learner needs and deliver tailored support.
  • Attend education and careers events, promoting adult learning to potential learners.
  • Ensure timely completion of recruitment, enrolment, and contractual documentation, adhering to funding and regulatory standards.
  • Meet monthly targets for programme starts, placements, and progressions.
  • Develop and implement learner engagement strategies.
  • Collect feedback for programme improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote programmes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications and Training (Essential):

  • GCSE grade A*-C in English, Maths, and ICT
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience in learner and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven track record of meeting targets
  • Experience in customer service and working with networks and authorities
  • Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities
  • IT skills and strong communication abilities
  • Approachable, empathetic, and adaptable to learners’ needs
  • Good organisation and time management skills
