Join a dynamic team dedicated to improving lives through physical activity and sport. As a content creator, you'll craft compelling communications that engage diverse audiences, from policy makers to educators. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the community by producing engaging content for various platforms. With a focus on collaboration and creativity, you'll be part of a passionate team committed to tackling inequalities and promoting well-being in Buckinghamshire. If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to use your skills for social good, this is the perfect role for you.
Looking to work in an energetic, positive team where you can make a difference to people’s lives? Leap is on a mission to improve lives through the power of physical activity, movement and sport by removing barriers to movement and tackling stubborn inequalities.
We are looking for an excellent communicator with skills across written, video, and visual content creation. Applicants should have a positive and proactive approach with strong organisational skills.
Working across a broad range of sectors, you’ll create communications to engage policy makers, service commissioners, educators, charity leaders and delivery organisations.
Take a leap and join our fast-paced passionate team to help residents in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes start well, live well and age well.
Buckinghamshire Council is a relatively new organisation that combines the strengths and expertise of the previous five councils in the county to create positive change for local people, communities, and businesses. We are firmly focused on the future and have made a clear commitment to serve residents better and to provide stronger representation for Buckinghamshire, both locally and nationally.
Leap is a social enterprise that exists to improve the lives of residents in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes (through regular movement, physical activity, and sport.)
As a small passionate team, we focus our work on priority groups and places that will benefit the most from physical activity. We know that the least active people have the most to gain from regular movement. However there are a whole host of complex inter-connected barriers preventing people from being active. Leap’s mission is to break down barriers to movement and tackle inequalities in activity levels.
We've operated in the county for 25 years, are hosted by Buckinghamshire Council and are part of a network of other Active Partnerships across England. Whilst we love movement and activity, we don't deliver it directly but instead work with a skilled network of people who provide opportunities across the county. The local embodiment of Sport England’s Uniting the Movement in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, we interpret national strategy for our local setting.
Joining the team you can expect to work across a broad range of work areas, from education, community and health. We have a positive, ‘can-do’ culture and collaboration and team work is fundamental to how we work.

Typically, you’ll be based in the same location as the rest of your team, because you provide a particular service from that fixed location or need access to information there.
We are looking for someone who is positive and has a proactive approach. You’ll be well supported by internal Leap staff, and the wider network of Active Partnerships, but will need to be confident working independently too.
You’ll need to be experienced in adapting your communications to different audiences, internally and externally.
