Trostan-Dene, a leading manufacturer in East Lancashire, is looking for a capable Materials/Procurement Administrator on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will manage forecasts, purchase orders, expediting, price updates, and supplier communications while supporting consignment stock control.

The role requires strong lean and stock control expertise, experience in an electronics/engineering environment, and leadership to implement improvements.

Competenze

• Excellent knowledge of stock control systems and Lean techniques.
• Experience in Electronics or Engineering with ISO9001 / ISO45001 awareness.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with good written/verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving and change management abilities.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and IT literacy (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Mansioni

• Optimise purchase prices and stock levels to support cost-effective procurement.
• Ensure materials are available on time to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate stock records and effective inventory control.
• Proactively identify and implement process and business improvements using Lean techniques.
• Lead Lean projects and initiatives, including 5S and Kanban.
• Complete risk assessments, audits and inspections on time, driving HSE improvements.
• Maintain a safe, clean workplace while adhering to Quality and Health & Safety systems.
• Support wider business functions to drive continuous improvement.
