Job summary

Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd in Burton upon Trent offers a 12-month Undergraduate Placement in the Materials Industrial Department. The role focuses on improving operating efficiency, machine effectiveness, and quality assurance across rubber components used in tyres.

You will analyze production data, support LEAN initiatives, and work with cross-functional teams in a factory setting. Excel proficiency and strong communication are essential, with possible travel to Carlisle.

Qualifications

• Studying to degree level.
• Good keyboard skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to redesign more efficient layout in the factory.
• Organisational skills and self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Full, clean driving licence desirable, with possible travel to Carlisle.

Responsibilities

• Collation and analysis of production data and KPIs to encourage continual improvement.
• Liaise with site services providers.
• Aid the team in implementing and maintaining LEAN processes.
• Participate in problem solving groups to improve efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and SOPs.
• Take responsibility for a work-based project.
• Conduct machine and method studies for data collection and efficiency improvements.
