Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited offers an internship in Improvement & Performance Management at the Airbus wing site in the UK. Start date is 16 August 2027, located in Broughton, North Wales, for 12.5 months with a 35-hour week and hybrid working options depending on the role.

The placement includes training in Kaizen and continuous improvement with exposure to site projects shaping the future of wing production.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students for the whole placement.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Studying towards a degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related discipline;
• Experience in customer-facing roles;
• Experience or exposure to Lean principles or continuous improvement environments;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Resilience and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment;
• A strong coaching mindset and willingness to support and develop others;
• A continuous improvement mindset with a drive to identify and implement improvements.

Additional qualifications (preferred but not essential):

• Completion of Lean-related modules as part of your university studies would be advantageous.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
