Job summary

Wessex Water Services in Yeovil is seeking a Leak Inspector to join a busy team. You will be trained to use techniques and equipment to locate leaks on our network and, when trained, liaise with other network staff to maintain and improve the system.

You will carry out reactive and proactive leak detection, monitor the leakage system, collect data, and participate in out-of-hours standby. We value drive, teamwork, and good IT skills, and offer a generous benefits package including pension,

Qualifications

• Driven, hardworking and self-motivated with the ability to learn new skills.
• Ability to work well alone or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good IT skills to handle internal systems.
• Flexible with working hours; able to do night work weekly.
• Hold a full driving licence; driving is part of your role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and proactive leak detection.
• Monitor the leakage system and collect data.
• Liaise with network staff about maintaining and improving the network system.
• Review flow alarms and calibrate/maintain leakage equipment.
• Participate in out-of-hours standby.
