Location: Smithy Wood(Sheffield) / Hybrid Working (1-2 office a week - 1 day in Bradford head office and 1 day at Sheffield local office)

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

If so, there is an exciting opportunity to join the Yorkshire Water Leakage Analyst team. As our Leakage Analyst you will analyse water industry data to identify possible water losses (leakage) in areas throughout Yorkshire region.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent STEM subject graduate or someone with previous data analysis experience.

You'll embark on a journey of continuous learning and gain skills to make a real difference in saving water across the Yorkshire region.

Detailed mentoring and training to be provided by senior analysts and team members.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Curious, a desire to learn with an analytical mind to spot patterns.
  • Experience of compiling and analysing data.
  • Effective communication skills, an empathetic attitude and experience of presenting technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • STEM (including geography) graduate, qualification to HND level or relevant experience in a numerical role.
  • Demonstrable ability to work on your own initiative and self-manage. You must be an effective decision maker to meet timescales, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Diligent and strong attention to detail.

You will also benefit from having:

  • Previous experience in the water industry
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerBi, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Commitment and flexibility are key, along with the ability to cope under pressure, calmly and rationally in a sometimes-demanding environment
