Job summary

Building Transformation in Bedford is seeking an experienced Leak Detection Engineer to deliver roof maintenance, inspections and repairs across client sites, focusing on water ingress solutions and building envelope investigations. You will develop knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, façade and cladding systems, use Electronic Leak Detection equipment, and produce technical surveys and reports.

Required: IPAF, PASMA, Working at Height, CSCS, UK driving licence; full-time on-site role with

Qualifications

  • Experience producing technical survey reports and recommendations.
  • IPAF Licence, CSCS card, PASMA Certification, and Working at Height certification.
  • Experience using Electronic Leak Detection equipment and CWCT testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, façade, cladding, and building envelope systems.
  • Develop competency in Electronic Leak Detection equipment and testing methodologies.
  • Assist with detailed condition surveys, forensic investigations, and technical reporting when required.
  • Support complex leak investigations involving roofing, façade, and cladding systems.
  • Support fault diagnosis on recurring or difficult-to-trace water ingress issues.
  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and as-built information.
  • Identify and report opportunities for additional works, upgrades, remedial projects, or maintenance contracts.
  • Support client satisfaction and safe service delivery.
  • Maintain awareness of cost-effective investigation methods and remedial solutions.
  • Contribute to achieving service delivery targets and team KPIs for bonuses.

We are looking for an experienced Leak Detection Engineerwith experience of in leak detection, roofing, waterproofing, façade, cladding and/or building envelope investigations.

Your role at a glance:

This is a hands-on role where you'll deliver high-quality roof maintenance, inspections, and repairs across a range of client sites.

You will:
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, façade, cladding, and building envelope systems.
  • Develop competency in Electronic Leak Detection equipment and specialist testing methodologies.

What we’re looking for:

We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent service.

You will have or bring:
  • Experience producing technical survey reports and recommendations
  • You must hold the IPAF Licence
  • A valid CSCS card
  • PASMA Certification
  • Working at Height certification
  • Experience using Electronic Leak Detection equipment
  • Knowledge of CWCT testing methodologies
  • A full UK driving licence

Hours

40 per week, Monday to Friday
