Job summary

England Rugby is seeking a League Operations Executive for the Championship Rugby ops team. You will oversee MOS audits, support integrity and growth, and build strong club relationships to drive operational improvements.

Based at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, with some home-working flexibility. You will engage with RFU services, clubs, and broadcast partners to ensure high-quality matchday delivery and playoff execution.

Qualifications

• Understanding of rugby union in England and its participation pathways and competition structures.
• Relationship management experience, preferably in a rugby environment
• Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders in a customer service environment
• Confident communicator with experience of influencing senior stakeholders
• Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail in data management and administration

Responsibilities

• Oversee auditing of club delivery against the MOS and manage risk of non-compliance
• Build relationships with club stakeholders to drive improvements in rugby operations
• Coordinate the Rugby & Operations Sub-Committee of the Champ Rugby Board and report to sub-committees
• Work with RFU Medical Services, contractors and clubs on Head Injury Assessment processes
• Act as a link between broadcast production partners and clubs to support live match coverage
• Support end-of-season play-offs, the Final, and league events such as summits and dinners
• Join the weekend on-call rota and attend fixtures to support matchday delivery
• Coordinate financial administration of operational matters for Champ Rugby

England Rugby (the RFU) is looking for a League Operations Executive to join its Rugby Events & Competitions team, dedicated to Champ Rugby, the second tier of the men's domestic game in England, relaunched in 2025.

The Role

A hands-on role working closely with Champ Rugby clubs, overseeing the Minimum Operating Standards (MOS) that underpin the league and supporting its integrity, relationships, growth and profile.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the auditing of club delivery against the Minimum Operating Standards, including risk and management of non-compliance
• Build relationships with key club stakeholders to drive improvements in rugby operations
• Co-ordinate the Rugby & Operations Sub-Committee of the Champ Rugby Board and report to relevant sub-committees
• Work with RFU Medical Services, contractors and clubs on the Head Injury Assessment process
• Act as a link between broadcast production partners and clubs to support live match coverage
• Support the end-of-season play-offs and showcase Final, and league events such as summits and dinners
• Join the weekend on-call rota and attend fixtures on a rota to support matchday delivery
