Oakleaf is proud to be partnering with a global airline based in London in their search for a new Leadership Development Business Partner. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in the office 3 days a week and 2 days working from home.
What is the role?
Reporting to the Talent Director and in collaboration with the rest of the Learning and Development team, you will be involved in shaping learning and training initiatives across the globe, with a particular focus on management and leadership development. All programs will need to meet the diverse needs of a global 24/7 operation.
By partnering with business managers you will have a deep understanding of the needs of teams and individuals. You will create learning opportunities to develop employees so that the skills are aligned to the needs of the business. This hands-on role will involve the sourcing, creation and delivering of learning programs and content.
Responsibilities:
* Own the design and delivery of the global management and leadership development programmes, aligned to our leadership expectations and talent strategy.
* Support people leaders at all levels – from new managers taking on their first team to experienced senior leaders, including members of ExCo.
* Build clear, structured learning journeys tailored to the needs of different leadership levels – covering topics such as feedback and coaching, team performance, change leadership, commercial acumen and succession readiness.
* Provide hands-on facilitation, guidance, and coaching to leaders across the business, adapting your approach for different audiences.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including ExCo, on leadership capability needs, programme priorities and development interventions.
* Source and manage vendor partnerships to complement and scale our internal leadership offering.
* Collaborate with the wider L&D team to embed leadership development into the broader learning ecosystem, including digital pathways and campaign-based learning.
* Design practical, easy-to-use resources, toolkits and guides that reinforce day-to-day learning on the job.
* Develop and report on impact metrics and evaluation methods that demonstrate the value of leadership development to the business.
Candidate profile
You will be an experienced learning and development professional who is a good business partnering with clear communication and strong presentation skills. You must be a strategic thinker that can articulate ideas in a clear and commercial way.
You will have experience working in a dynamic business environment supporting the learning of the employees to meet business needs. You will have worked with subject matter experts to design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective training programs and workshops for employees at all levels. Experience developing new joiner onboarding, skills and talent development programs is essential.
You will be comfortable using and developing content for Learning Management Systems. Experience using Cornerstone will be an advantage, however, not a pre-requisite. You will be confident in handling data and using it to support better decision making.
