Job Opportunity: Teacher of Design Technology / Hospitality and Catering

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Design Technology / Hospitality and Catering to join Durham Academy from September 2024.

We wish to appoint a committed and highly effective teacher to teach across our key stages. You should be educated to degree level, hold qualified teacher status (QTS), and have experience teaching KS3 and KS4.

The successful applicant is expected to facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential and contribute to raising standards of student attainment.

You should demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning, and personalisation strategies and be responsible for maintaining high standards of monitoring and evaluation, while improving achievement for all students.

You will be confident in your ability to effectively teach Design Technology, including Hospitality & Catering.

You will be adept at creating a supportive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for all students.
