Job summary

Altron Communications Equiptment Ltd in Ammanford is seeking a Production Engineer with strong welding and fabrication experience to join our busy team. You will develop welding and fabrication processes, implement procedures, and support production efficiency.

Experience with BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017, jig design, and NDT is valued. The role includes training staff, creating work instructions, and contributing to product development and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in welding and fabrication (light to medium).
• Time served in supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee welding and fabrication activities and develop processes.
• Set up jobs efficiently and improve production times.
• Produce work instructions, training materials, and product spec sheets.
• Build and update jigging methods and jig designs.
• Participate in significant order and product development projects.
• Provide supervisory cover when required.
