Job summary
FleetCheck is seeking an experienced web development lead in Kemble to own the technical direction of the company website. You will steer the stack choice, lead a major redesign, and act as the technical brain when working with an external design agency.
You will own site operations, collaborate with a designer to implement designs, and partner with SEO to ensure strong visibility. A hybrid pattern with office days and remote options is available.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on web development experience.
- Deep WordPress expertise at code level: custom themes and plugins built from scratch.
- Performance discipline: lean builds with Core Web Vitals in mind.
- Solid technical SEO knowledge: schema markup and site architecture.
- Experience with API integrations and RESTful services.
- Ability to translate designs from Figma to finished builds with a designer.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation of our next website stack and options.
- Act as in-house technical lead through redesign and rebuild with external agency.
- Own the site day-to-day: builds, landing pages, integrations, performance and fixes.
- Collaborate with the senior designer to implement designs effectively.
- Work with the SEO lead on technical SEO improvements and visibility.
- Keep the site fast and secure and support the design team as needed.
