Job summary

Waystone is seeking a Lead Web Developer to drive the architecture and engineering of client-facing and internal portals. You will own the technical direction, ensure high-quality delivery, and raise the bar for performance, accessibility and security across the portal estate.

• Hands-on modern web/front-end engineering expertise.
• Expertise in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Strong accessibility and secure, scalable web delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction for client-facing and internal portals.
• Set front-end standards and ensure consistent styling across estate.
• Maintain design consistency with brand identity and UX.
• Own portal estate and drive rationalisation toward unified architectures.
• Lead in-house web team and manage delivery partners with shared standards.
• Define and evolve web engineering standards, tooling and CI/CD.
• Ensure security and regulatory alignment by default.
