Job description

We're looking for a Lead Water Technician to join our Southwest Water team based in Barnstaple.

Location: Barnstaple - Depot Based

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

What will you be responsible for?

As a Lead Water Technician, you'll be working within the Southwest Water team, supporting them in working on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services. Importantly, as part of our close-knit team, you will also play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, creating a secure and protected work environment which is always the highest priority at Kier.

What does the day-to-day in the role look like?

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Undertake planned or reactive work as directed from water services to large diameter mains
  • Ensure levels of productivity working within timescales and to targets
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation is updated on each job using a tablet
  • Be a part of a rapid response team that works around the clock to deliver and restore clean water
What are we looking for?

This role is great for you if:

  • You have previous Utilities experience
  • You hold a valid Full UK Drivers Licence
  • You are willing to upskill - comprehensive training will be provided
