The Ward Manager will lead the secure male mental health ward at Cygnet Bury Hudson, directing the ward team and overseeing clinical care and nursing practice. The post is 40 hours, Monday to Friday, on a ward with woodland surroundings.

Applicants must pass an enhanced DBS check and hold RMN or RNLD registration. The role emphasizes leadership, safeguarding, and maintaining patient confidentiality, while fostering improvements based on user and family feedback.

Qualifications

• RMN or RNLD registration is required.
• In-patient ward experience is essential.
• Experience leading change and development initiatives.
• Ability to drive audits and action plans in clinical settings.

Responsabilités

• Lead the ward team and oversee delivery of care.
• Propose ward developments and report to Hospital Manager.
• Contribute to professional visits to the ward.
• Implement and monitor a system for nursing practice and staff registrations (PIN).
• Ensure service evaluation uses feedback from service users, carers and families.
• Advise non-clinical staff on managing patients with mental illness and maintain confidentiality.
