Job Title: Lead Visual Merchandiser (Fashion)

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 37.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive DOE

Our client, a UK leader in the fashion retail industry, is offering an outstanding employment opportunity. The client, a large and dynamic company, continues to enjoy sustained growth. You will report directly to the Head of Merchandising/Merchandising Director.

Role Requirements

This role plays an integral part in creating and implementing the Company’s Visual Merchandising strategy. You will generate and manage VM layouts and guidelines, supporting the Retail department in operational execution, and continually seek ways to improve departmental and company performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and create the brand's visual concepts and guidelines for seasonal ranges and shop-in-shops.
• Develop and manage the creative direction for current and new stores, ensuring alignment with the overarching brand vision.
• Manage the store portfolio's look and feel, including visual merchandising, POS, windows, layouts, standards, and fittings.
• Involved in selecting stock for photoshoots and campaigns, as well as images for in-store POS.
• Collaborate on designing and implementing window schemes.
• Develop the creative direction for in-store visual displays, including treatments and window displays.
• Conceptualize and manage the design and development of fixtures and fittings.
• Oversee design and direction of retail shop fits to ensure brand progression.
• Work closely with Retail, Buying, and Merchandising teams to align communications with product vision.
• Coordinate with e-commerce and digital marketing teams for consistent tone of voice across all channels.
• Manage budgets and collaborate with external agencies.

Experience & Skills Required

• Experience leading a VM team in a fashion retail environment.
• Strong understanding of market, target customer, and brand positioning.
• Market, commercial, and competitor awareness.
• Experience in branding, layout, window design, and in-store visual merchandising.
• Financial and budget management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and interest in current and future design trends.
