Job Description:

Our client is a well-established and thriving clinic in South London, Roydon, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient and client care within our local community. Currently, we are seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join the team and contribute to continued success.

As the Lead Vet, you’ll have the autonomy to shape the clinical direction of our practice. Our team includes an experienced Head Nurse and dedicated support staff. We’re also in the process of recruiting a second vet due to expansion.

Offering a competitive salary package of up to £70,000 per annum, based on experience, along with a range of benefits, including:

• Lead Vet Contribution Scheme
• £1500 CPD allowance with 3-days CPD leave
• Payment of RCVS, BVA, and VDS fees
• 5 weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays
• 4 weeks’ paid sabbatical (after each 5 years of service)
• A 4-day workweek with a rotation of 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality clinical care to clients and patients while ensuring compliance and fostering a progressive clinical culture within the team
• Maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction by consistently delivering exceptional care throughout the client journey
• Supporting the team and facilitating skill development where necessary
• Managing direct reports and overall team performance and engagement
• Overseeing the financial and operational performance of the practice

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in clinical leadership roles
• Proficient in all routine surgeries and consultations
• A team player, collaborating effectively within the practice and with wider colleagues

This clinic in South London boasts a bright and inviting reception area, two spacious consult rooms, a theatre, and a prep room. Through collaborative efforts with nearby 24-Hour Hospital and access to advanced diagnostics and expert opinions, they ensure comprehensive care for cases requiring beyond first opinion expertise.

Located a short walk from Sandilands Tram and East Croydon Station.
