Job summary

Global Veterinary Careers is seeking a Team Leader – Veterinary Surgeon for two modern hospitals in East London. This hands-on leadership role combines clinical duties with people management, offering a varied caseload and the chance to shape team culture, clinical standards, and service delivery.

You will be RCVS registered and comfortable with routine and complex surgeries, leading recruitment, coaching, and performance, with a salary up to £73,000 and 37.5 hours per week, plus generous CPD

Qualifications

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Confident with routine and more complex surgical procedures.
• Strong communicator with leadership or mentoring experience.
• Organised with the ability to manage team performance and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Veterinary Surgeon team, including recruitment, coaching, and development.
• Deliver high standards of clinical care and customer service.
• Support hospital performance, including budgets, KPIs, and resource planning.
• Drive a culture of preventative healthcare and client education.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, RCVS standards, and health & safety.
• Support implementation of projects, policies, and service improvements.
• Contribute to the VS rota, including a share of weekends.
