Job summary

GLG Vets in Crawley, West Sussex is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to provide clinical leadership across consulting, soft tissue and routine surgery. The role offers real clinical autonomy within a supportive, friendly team and aims to deliver gold-standard care.

You will mentor vets and RVNs, champion governance and CPD, manage case continuity and rota planning, and build trusted client relationships while shaping the clinical roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK small-animal first opinion practice
• Confidence with routine surgery and consults
• Willingness to pursue further certifications welcomed

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership across consulting, soft tissue and routine surgery
• Champion clinical governance, audits and best-practice protocols
• Mentor and develop Vets, RVNs and SVNs; support CPD plans
• Build trusted client relationships and deliver gold-standard care
• Oversee case continuity and contribute to rota planning and workflow
