Job description

Medivet Sherwood is looking for a Lead Vet to join our supportive and friendly team in the suburbs of Nottingham. Our spacious Sherwood practice is, equipped with three consult rooms, theatre, dental facilities including dental x-ray, and handles a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases. We're looking for someone confident with most routine procedures-orthopaedics would be a welcome bonus, but not essential.

You’ll work as part of a wider team covering three branches-Sherwood, Arnold, and Netherfield-alongside 6 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs), 2 VCAs, and 4 CCAs. Arnold and Netherfield are consult-only clinics. This is a great opportunity to enjoy clinical variety in a supportive environment, with plenty of scope to grow and develop your skills.   • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.


  • Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.

  • Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt.


  • Work closely with the Practice Manager to maximise commercial performance with a focus on key measures .

  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.


Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.


  • Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.


  • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.


  • An understanding and appreciation of exceptional care and how this improves the client experience.


  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.


  • Experience of delivering strong commercial performance through effective allocation of clinical activity.
