Are you a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Medivet Kingsbury. Medivet Kingsbury is a modern, well-equipped clinic in North London offering services such as x-rays, dentistry, and in-house lab facilities.

The clinic is just 10 minutes from our Hendon 24-Hour Hospital, which provides access to advanced technology and specialist expertise in neurology, surgery, medicine, and more.

You will be part of a close-knit team with opportunities for collaboration, supported by our Hendon Hospital, which features MRI/CT, endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and multi-parameter monitors. The hospital also handles out-of-hours care, providing comprehensive support for your cases.

Role Accountabilities

We prioritize exceptional care for our patients, clients, and colleagues, aiming to make a positive difference in every interaction.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide clear updates to clients and maintain high standards of compliance.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, ensure payment, and minimize debt.
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager to optimize performance.
  • Mentor and develop team members, sharing practice standards and process updates.
  • Complete clinical handovers and coordinate patient transfers for out-of-hours or specialized care.
  • Promote clinical best practices within and across practices and the wider community.
Your Skills and Experience
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in delivering outstanding care to patients and clients.
  • Understanding of how exceptional care enhances client experience.
  • Proven ability to implement a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience in achieving strong commercial results through effective clinical management.
  • Effective team player with coaching and influencing skills.
