If you are looking for an opportunity to step into a leadership role, or simply want to join a genuinely supportive practice in a beautiful setting, this could be the perfect move for you.

Our client is a modern, RCVS accredited and well-equipped small animal practice based in a picturesque Cambridgeshire village, just outside Huntingdon. It's the kind of place where historic charm meets a real sense of community — and where life moves at a gentler pace, without losing touch with the wider world.

As Lead Vet in this two-vet team, you will have the autonomy to shape the practice while knowing there is a strong community of experienced clinicians available whenever you need advice or support. The practice is fully equipped with everything you would expect from a forward-thinking surgery, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, an in-house lab, a multiparametric monitor, and access to CT and MRI facilities for more complex cases.

This is a full-time role working just four days a week, with no out-of-hours responsibilities and currently no weekends either. Part-time options are also available if you are looking for more flexibility.

For those relocating over 60 miles — whether from within the UK or internationally — generous relocation support is on offer, and visa sponsorship can also be arranged.

If you are ready to lead, eager to join a thriving community, and want your next move to be somewhere you’ll truly feel at home, get in touch today to find out more.

The Package:

  • A superb salary up to £75,000 DOE
  • Quarterly Lead Vet Contribution Scheme with the potential to earn up to 20% on top of your salary
  • Private Medical Insurance from day one
  • Health cash plan (covering dental, physio and optical services) with 24/7 Private GP Service
  • Life Assurance 3 x salary
  • Access to 24-hour counselling by phone or in person should you feel you need support
  • 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays rising to 6 weeks with length of service
  • An additional ‘Day for You’, a paid day’s leave for you to use as you wish
  • Clinical CPD: £1,500 per year plus 3 days’ paid leave
  • Funded certificate opportunities
  • VDS, RCVS and BVA fees paid
  • Sabbatical based on length of service
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Staff discount
  • Support for Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa and relocation support
